Road Trip

Saturday afternoon Marcy and Perry, Troy and Jen, and Dave and I jumped in the car and headed out on a road trip. We decided after some debate (thanks Dave and Perry...it was a good choice) to go to Mackey for some pie. We made a stop at every little town along the way, and even stopped at the historical marker! We finally made it to Mackey, but before we went to town we turned down a gravel road and stopped to dance to Bon Jovi's "You Want to Make a Memory". We also took some fun pictures while we were stopped there. This is us doing a slow motion run while Troy drove off in the vehicle!! The view was awsome with the mountains in the background. We thought it would be a beautiful place to retire to someday.

We had so much fun in the car along the way. We played the IPOD super loud and danced in our seats. On the way home the boys all fell asleep and Marcy, Jen and I sang our hearts out for the whole two hour drive. Of course Marcy "loves, loves, loves" all of her songs and begged (please, please, please) for us to listen to all of them, even the ones we didn't know and couldn't sing to!! We vetoed a few of them because we were having so much fun singing at the top of our lungs. We were sure we wouldn't have voices the next day! It must have been too much for Dave because when we looked back to the third seat he was gone...he had crawled to the very, very back to try to get away from us. This is Dave and I's conversation on the way to our house...

Dave: "You know if the girls had wanted to sleep on the way home we would have had to turn off

the radio and be really quiet."

Steph: "I know Babe, but we're girls and we want our way all the time...don't you know that by

now?"

Dave: "Yeah, I should!"

We went into Mackey and Dave finally got fed...he had been bugging us every since we left about getting something to eat. We met a fun couple that ate dinner with us and then we all went next door to go dancing. We had a great time and can't wait to go somewhere new again.
